PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide novel compositions, comprising compounds which are sensitive and/or prone to oxidation. SOLUTION : The present invention provides a stable liquid composition comprising an active compound with more than one aliphatic double bonds prone to oxidation, wherein the active compound is dissolved, dispersed or suspended in a liquid vehicle comprising a semifluorinated alkane of formula F(CF2)n(CH2)mH or formula F(CF2)n(CH2)m(CF2)oF, wherein n, m, and o are integers independently selected from the range of 3 to 20. The liquid vehicle is substantially free of water. The compositions may be used as medicines for local administration to eyes or ophthalmic tissues.
