SOLUTION : A method of improving the transplantation, replacement or surgical outcome of transplanting tissue, cells or one or more organs (e.g., a kidney, heart valve such as aortic heart valve replacement or repair, or joints such as knee or hip replacement) is provided in a potential transplant or replacement patient, and comprises administering to the patient an effective amount of a MetAP2 inhibitor.
