PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a triazolopyridine compound having a prolyl hydroxylase inhibition effect and an erythropoietin production induction potency. SOLUTION : The invention relates to a compound represented by the following general formula [I], where each symbol is as defined in this application, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or solvate thereof, and a prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor and an erythropoietin production inducer containing the compound. The compound exhibits a prolyl hydroxylase inhibition effect and an erythropoietin production induction potency and is useful as a prevention or treatment agent of various diseases or conditions (disorders) derived from production reduction of erythropoietin.
