In particular, the invention relates to a dispersible tablet comprising misoprostol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, providing alternative routes of administration. The tablet is particularly suited for cervical ripening, induction of labor, prevention and/or treatment of postpartum or post-abortion hemorrhage.
